2015 Porsche Macan Turbo
With the rapidly expanding niche of mid-size SUVs overtaking sales of pretty much every style of car over the past decade, it was a no-brainer for Porsche to jump on board. With the introduction of the Macan in 2013, the company set the new benchmark for how well this style of car could drive in a way that only Porsche can. Although some people may claim that it’s just a reskinned Audi Q5, in truth, the Macan is revised and improved in pretty much every conceivable way from chassis to suspension to engine options, transfer case and both the interior and exterior design. Built alongside the Panamera in Porsche’s Leipzig, Germany factory, even with its high production numbers, the Macan is still subject to the litany of quality control tests on the production line, that separate Porsche from the lesser brands under the Volkswagen umbrella. The result is a crossover SUV that can really do it all, equally comfortable taking the kids to school as it is on a twisty back road, with luxury car interior quality.
This 2015 Porsche Macan Turbo is a nice 2-owner example that was sold new in the greater New York area, and has lived in Washington State since 2018. Finished in Agate Gray Metallic over a black leather interior, we have been servicing this car since 2019 and 35,700 miles. Currently, the car shows 81,000 miles and benefits from a recent service at Porsche of Bellevue in April of 2024. From the factory, this Macan was fitted with a host of desirable options including the Premium Pack with 14-way power adjusting seats, dark wood veneer interior, RS-Spyder wheels with a diamond turned finish and Bose high-end surround sound. Although all Macans were technically turbocharged, the variant badged “Turbo” like this is fitted with a twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6 that produces 395 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque which is sent through a 7-speed PDK gearbox to all four wheels. Under current ownership, the car has been maintained to a very high level, with intake manifold gaskets replaced and a cooling system service in September of 2023, front and rear brakes replaced in June of 2023, the driver belts and serpentine tensioners replaced in January of the same year. With the next generation Macan hitting dealer lots as an all electric SUV with prices extending deep into the 6-figures, these first generation cars are looking like an incredible value and still rank as one of the best do-everything cars you can buy.
