2014 Porsche Cayman

The 981 generation Cayman represents one of the great performance values in the world of Porsche today. Upon its debut in March of 2012, the second generation Cayman leaned on the styling language of the recently released 991 911 and 918 Spyder, and looked like a supercar at a more affordable price. Although slightly bigger than its 987 predecessor, the 981 dropped more than 75 lbs when compared to a similarly equipped 987, and offered both improved performance and far more in-car technology.

This 2014 Porsche Cayman is a beautiful one-owner example finished in Speed Yellow, that has covered just 38,600 miles from new. First sold through Audi Nashua in Nashua, New Hampshire, the car only spent its first three years on the east coast, before moving to Washington in September 2016. We have serviced this car at Dobson Stuttgart since 2019 and most recently completed a full inspection and oil service in April of 2025. Sitting on a set of 19” Boxster S wheels, other exterior options include rear model designation delete and sport tailpipes.

The interior of this Cayman is wrapped in Platinum Gray leather and was optioned with heated manual sport seats. A 3-spoke sport steering wheel was also optioned, which feels great in the hands and moves the paddle shifters for the 7-speed PDK gearbox from thumb buttons, to paddles behind the wheel. Additionally, auto dimming mirrors have been fitted along with a Homelink garage door opener.

Powering this Cayman is a 2.7-liter naturally aspirated flat-6 that produces 261 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque. When paired with the 7-Speed PDK transmission in this car, 0-60 happens in just 5.4 seconds and the top speed is in excess of 160 mph. Although it is no slouch in a straight line, where the Caymans have always really shined was in the corners – and this car is no exception. What makes this car so great is that if you buy it as a weekend toy, you won’t be disappointed – but if you decide you want to daily drive it, it will be just as at home doing that.
